Thank you for choosing to attend counselling at Suruvi – Care for Caregivers.

We have professional accredited counsellors with the Kenya Counselors and Psychologists Association. We are committed to providing a welcoming, supportive, and non-discriminatory service to all individuals. During our sessions, we will explore your personal difficulties in a confidential and supportive environment. However, please note that counselling may not be suitable for all types of issues, and if we believe that another form of support would be more appropriate for your needs, your counsellor will guide you towards those resources.

To ensure a smooth and productive counselling experience, please be aware of the following policies regarding payment, cancellations, and confidentiality:

Payment: To secure your counselling session, you are required to:

  1. Use this link to book a time slot that is convenient for you. https://calendly.com/suruvi-careforcaregivers/60min
  2. Make payment at least 12 hours before the session. Payment can be made via Mpesa Paybill Number 4047551, with Your Name as the account name.

Cancellations and Extensions: If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please provide at least a 12-hour notice. If you cancel with less than 12 hours’ notice, you will be charged 50% of the session fee. Refunds will not be provided for sessions paid for but not attended without prior notice. A session typically lasts 45 minutes to an hour, and if it exceeds this time, the counsellor may charge a pro-rated fee.

Attending sessions: To accommodate the sometimes tight requirement on time for caregivers, the counselling sessions are held virtually on video call unless otherwise requested. Ensure you have reliable internet, a smart device and private space for your session. You will receive a secure link for your session on your contact number and via email at least 30 minutes before your session time.

Confidentiality and Security: Your counselling session content will not be shared with any third party except for the supervision of my work, in which case, your identity will remain confidential. However, if you reveal during counselling that you or someone else is at serious risk of harm, or you are at risk of being harmed, we are legally obligated to disclose this information to the authorities. Additionally, in emergency situations, we may request your consent to contact your next of kin.

Lastly, please be aware that this agreement will be governed by Kenyan law and any disputes or differences related to this agreement will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Kenyan Courts.

Thank you for your understanding and commitment to a successful counselling experience.
